The Newport Beach-based company's plans include a 6,200-square-foot bar, cafe and buffet space, a 3,200-square-foot conference room, a rooftop bar and lounge, a 1,800-square-foot fitness centre and a pool.
While the development has yet to be affiliated with any major hotel brands, the project proposal includes details about a 2,900-square-foot "signature" restaurant that would be adjacent to the hotel on the ground floor.
EKN is aiming for a June 2019 completion for the development, but its application still needs an environmental and design review as well as additional meetings with the city's planning commission.
Extended stay hotel planned for Burlingame
